Roads and Transport

Large sections of Victorias road network was damaged or disrupted during the 2012 Victorian floods.

All public transport and freight services have been restored but there are many roads that are still closed or under repair.

Anyone travelling to flood-affected regions should check the status of road closures so they can alter their route if necessary.

Drivers should never to try to drive on flood-affected roads and should approach with extreme caution, observe any traffic restrictions and lower speed limits on damaged roads.
