6.4 Timelines for Financial Accountability Reporting
The department will send out the appropriate FAR forms prior to 30 June in the financial year that the funding is provided.
The organisation must complete and return the forms to their PASA by 1 October in the following financial year.
Dates for Financial Accountability Reporting
Date due for return
- Annual FAR - 1 OCT of the following year
Interim FAR (If required):
- 1st quarter - MID NOV
- 2nd quarter and mid year - MID FEB
- 3rd quarter - MID MAY
Financial year
An organisation whose financial year does not end on 30 June must advise the lead region or division. These organisations must still provide financial statements for the 12-month period to 30 June. The department can waive this requirement provided that:
- the financial statements are certified appropriately
- the organisation makes its financial records available upon request
- a fully audited financial report which reflects the organisation's financial year is forthcoming as soon as practicable, but no later than 90 days after the end of the organisation's financial year.
