1.4 Funded Agency Channel

The Funded Agency Channel (FAC) (external link, opens in a new window) is a website that supports the partnership relationship between the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Education and Training and the approximately 3000 organisations that are funded by these departments.

FAC focuses its services on registered users from funded organisations and the departments and their need for secure data, information and online services. FAC aims to operate as a joint venture site and objectively balance the needs of all parties.

FAC provides quick and easy access to Service Agreements and supporting information, and business processes that enable organisations and the departments to deliver on partnership initiatives.

Although there are no limitations on the number of users an organisation can register for FAC, the primary user groups for FAC are:

  • organisation boards
  • senior executives
  • middle managers (including finance, human resources and administrative managers)
  • unit and program managers with management/administrative responsibilities
  • relevant departmental managers and staff.

FAC provides funded organisations and departments with access to:

  • an organisation's Service Agreement, payment schedule, invoices and the progress of variations to funding
  • an organisation's Service Agreement information, including service and funding information, for the current, future and previous financial years
  • completing compliance and service delivery tracking requirements online
  • an organisation's performance reports for funded activities
  • departmental policies, standards and guidelines and relevant legislation
  • department and broader news that organisations may be interested in
  • the Management Toolkit and its fleet management, procurement, workforce and work health resources
  • a range of business, government and human services websites.

Additional reports and information will continue to be added to FAC over time.

Registering with the Funded Agency Channel

Department of Education and Training (DET) staff and funded organisation staff must register to access the secure individual organisation information available via FAC.

Department of Health and Human Services staff are not required to register for FAC as they are automatically granted access to My Agency (the secure section of FAC) as a part of their standard internal suite of applications for use when working with funded organisations.
