Personal Hardship Grants: An Introduction
This course is designed to provide front line DHS grant officers with the skills to confidently provide emergency affected individuals and families with the range of state emergency grants. Topics discussed include:
- Gathering and processing individual & family information
- Assessing needs
- The structure of the grant form
- Managing difficult applicants
- Privacy
There shall also be discussion of a number of practical case studies.
Note: This course is intended for DHS staff only, and can also be run with the course Personal Support - An Introduction.
