Introduction to Emergency Recovery
This course provides a basis for understanding recovery concepts, roles and responsibilities in Victoria.
Participants will look at:
- How the State Emergency Recovery Arrangements draw together key recovery concepts to assist the recovery of emergency affected communities.
- Examples of recovery programs and consider how to support recovery programs in their own working environments.
The course aims to develop professional skills needed to understand and manage a range of recovery challenges in diverse settings. Participants will have an understanding of:
- The impacts of emergencies on individuals and communities.
- The challenges faced by the range of people who have recovery roles in a wide range of settings.
- How simple effective recovery tools can be developed to assist communities and individuals recovering from an emergency.
