Decontamination guide for hospitals

Decontamination guide cover image

Decontamination guidance for hospitals details principles for managing decontamination and highlights important issues that health services need to consider when planning for a CBR or HAZMAT emergency.

The guide provides best practice models of staff roles and responsibilities, standard operating procedures and escalation plans. It also includes a range of practical resources that can be easily customised to meet the needs of individual hospitals.

Decontamination guidance for hospitals has been designed to complement the training resource, Health Services Personal Protective Equipment and Decontamination Presenters Guide published in July 2006.
