Specialist disability services

This section offers information on specialist supports to assist people with a disability, their families, carers and support providers in matters relating to behaviour intervention or the criminal justice system, involving people with a disability.

Disability Services supports

The following supports are funded by the Department of Human Services and are provided in partnership with agencies and other funded organisations or managed by Regional staff of the Department of Human Services.

Specialist disability support services

  • Individual Support Packages provide flexible funding, after planning with you, to suit your particular needs.
  • Behaviour Intervention Services provide specialist supports for people who demonstrate challenging behaviour.
  • Criminal Justice Services provide specialist supports for people with an intellectual disability who are or at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system due to offending behaviour.

Disability Services can assist you to get the supports you need to enable you to fulfil your plans for the future. These supports may be funded by Disability Services or available in your local community.
