This section offers information on supports for people who want to live as independently as possible in their own home.
Disability Services supports
The following supports are funded by the Department of Human Services and are provided in partnership with agencies and other funded organisations or managed by regional staff of the Department of Human Services.
Individual Support Packages provide flexible funding, after planning with you, to suit your particular needs.
Aids and Equipment provides aids and equipment for maintaining safety and independence in the home and getting around in the community.
Outreach Support provides short-term support to assist you to live in the community.
HomeFirst provides ongoing support to assist you to live in the community.
Therapy provides a range of allied health programs (such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy) to assist you to live as independently as possible in the community.

Disability Services can assist you to get the supports you need to enable you to fulfil your plans for the future. These supports may be funded by Disability Services or available in your local community. Contact the Disability Intake and Response Service for advice and information.
