The Access for All Abilities (AAA) Program is funded by the Disability Services Division, and managed by Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV), a division of the Department of Victorian Communities (DVC).
The AAA Program aims to develop and support recreation environments for everyone, including people with disabilities. Participation in sport and recreation helps people of all abilities to be healthier, build networks, increase self-esteem and explore their potential. By promoting more inclusive recreation environments, the AAA Program helps build stronger and more inclusive communities.
The AAA Program consists of three parts:
- AAA Program Providers, who assist in creating sport and recreation environments in local communities, which are inclusive of people with a disability
- Strategic Partnership, which provides strategic advice to SRV on sport and recreation access matters for people with a disability
- AAA Initiative Fund, which supports projects that deliver sustainable programs so that people with a disability can enjoy the benefits of sport and recreation environments.
