What are day services
Day services provide adults with a disability the opportunity to enhance their independence, skills, community participation and general quality of life.
Day services can provide support to people in a range of areas such as access to further education and training, recreation and pre-employment training. The services vary enormously and meet a wide range of individual and group needs.
Who can get assistance
You may get assistance if you are over 16 years of age and meet the criteria as determined under the Disability Act 2006.
This Act is available from Victorian Legislation and Parliamentary Documents (External link).
How to get assistance
Contact your regional Disability Intake and Response Service to find out more information about the program and how to apply.

Changing Days and Community Facility Redevelopment initiatives
As part of the reorientation strategy for disability supports, the Government announced in the 2006-07 State Budget funding totalling $9.2 million to progress the vision and goals of the Victorian State Disability Plan 2002 - 2012 across the disability day service sector.
The Changing Days and the Community Facility Redevelopment Initiative provides opportunities for day service providers to redevelop their infrastructure and service models to align with the vision of the Victorian State Disability Plan 2002 - 2012.
