Support Your Way: A self-directed approach for Victorians with a disability

Support Your Way describes the features of self-directed approaches, introducing a common language and outlining future directions.
Support Your Way establishes the direction for building self-directed approaches in Victoria and re-shaping services so they are consistent with self-directed approaches.
Support Your Way identifies the three main elements of self-directed approaches:
- Self-directed planning
- Self-directed funding
- Self-directed support.
Self-direction makes sure focus remains on the individual at the centre of all activity and decision making.
The diagram below provides an overview of self-directed approaches.

Support Your Way enables a move from more traditional service arrangements to a service system that provides flexibility, greater control and better outcomes for Victorians with a disability.
