Learning and development strategy is being implemented in stages.
Stage one
Stage one was completed in June 2007 and focused on increasing stakeholders’ understanding and awareness of the Quality Framework (2007) to assist them to prepare for implementation.
Resources from stage one are available to download: Resources to assist implementation of the Quality Framework (2007).
Stage two
Stage two commenced in September 2007 and includes training and learning opportunities to assist disability service providers to implement quality management activities in their organisation including:
- self-assessment against the Standards
- individual outcomes assessment
- planning for improvement.
The Department of Human Services has contracted the Community Services and Health Industry Training Board Victoria (CS&HITB) to develop and deliver stage two of the learning and development strategy.
Stage two training dates
All community service organisations should have received a letter from the CS&HITB detailing what training is available. To access the letter and training dates please visit the CS&HITB website (External site).
Department-managed services are currently being consulted on their training strategy. Regional training strategies are currently being organised with the regional disability services program executives. Training will be coordinated at a regional level.
Digital stories and activity sheets used in training sessions are now available to download.
