Consumer assessment is underpinned by the principle that people should be involved in decisions that affect their lives. It enables people with a disability, their family members and carers to provide feedback about the quality of services and supports.

Organisational self-assessment

Organisational self-assessment may be carried out in many ways. Service providers are encouraged to select an approach that best reflects the service type and consumer requirements.

Quality plan

A quality plan uses information gathered from the self-assessment, consumer assessment and any other quality review process. It ties it together and sets the priorities and actions for improvements for the forthcoming continuous quality improvement cycle.
