Workforce Strategy Implementation

The Workforce Strategy Implementation Plan contains actions and outlines timeframes to implement the Workforce Strategy: Improving supports for people with a disability. The Implementation Plan also complements the Resources Guide, which contains links to relevant documents and online publications that will assist to enact actions contained in the Workforce Strategy. Both the Implementation Plan and Resources Guide will be reviewed annually to ensure that information remains relevant and up to date.

Enhancing good governance

Disability Services Division is funding an Enhancing Good Governance project in partnership with National Disability Services Victoria and field (further inclusive learning and development) to promote principles of good governance and to encourage the development of a learning and development culture in community service organisations. The project delivers resources and local training for governing bodies to address the requirements of the Disability Act 2006 and implementation of the Quality Framework for Disability Services.

Management of risk

This is a joint project between the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority, the department’s Disability Services Division and National Disability Services Victoria. It aims to enhance the capacity of community service organisations by applying appropriate risk management analysis and strategies to improve overall business management of organisations, and more effectively orient their businesses to the changing environment in the provision of disability supports.
