Senior Practitioner Grants Initiative
The aim of the Senior Practitioner Grants Initiative is to inform and improve practice by disability service providers, who are supporting people with a disability subject to restrictive interventions and compulsory treatment.

Senior Practitioner Promoting Dignity Grants for 2009-10
The Senior Practitioner Promoting Dignity Grants for 2009-10 provides funding of up to $2,000 to assist disability support professionals to develop and implement creative and practical alternatives to reduce and or remove the use of restrictive interventions.
Who can apply
Applications are invited from direct disability support professionals currently employed by a registered disability service provider for:
- day services
- residential services, or
- respite services.

Seminar about the grants initiative and application development
A seminar will be conducted on 5 October 2009 to assist disability support professionals to understand the intent of the grants initiative and how to develop an application that will address the requirements of the initiative.Scholarships program
The Office of the Senior Practitioner offers a number of Ph.D scholarships at the beginning of each year. Application for the Senior Practitioner Ph.D Scholarships Program for 2009 is now closed.
Who can apply
Applicants must reside in Victoria and be enrolled to study at a Victorian university in a relevant course. Eligible applicants for scholarships are sought yearly and the scholarships will provide a living allowance of $28,000 per annum for three years.
