Protecting Victoria's Children
'Protecting Victoria’s Children' is the practice manual for statutory child protection in Victoria. It is the primary point of reference for child protection practitioners and managers employed by the Department of Human Services and other stakeholders, regarding the practice requirements to promote the safety, stability and development of children at risk of harm in Victoria.
For more information, and instructions for navigating the manual, see About the manual.

Manual News!
WELCOME to the new child protection practice manual site. As you can see, the look and feel is a little different from the previous site and is accessible via both the internet and intranet. The change to the new site does not affect the content of practice advice or guidance, only its presentation and navigation pathways. If you have any issues with accessing or using the manual, please email the CP manual team via the ‘contact us’ link situated in the top right hand corner of the screen. In the future, this space will include alerts to changes to content, tips on how to use the manual and practice news.
