Our priority is to make sure that people who need our help receive it as quickly as possible.

We thank everyone for their generous contributions to the fund and Australian Red Cross for its tremendous collection effort.

Now the task of distribution is underway and we are focusing on the immediate, short, medium and long-term needs of those affected by the tragic bushfires.

Almost a quarter of the funds received to date have been allocated emergency relief payments, and the remainder will be released progressively throughout the relief, rebuilding and recovery periods.

Our goal is to remain adaptable to the changing requirements of those in need, and to ensure a prompt and efficient distribution of the funds as we move forward. Ongoing consultation with affected communities will also help us stay in touch with their needs.
