Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund Financial Information
The Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund has raised more than $392 million, including interest. The tables below detail how the money has been committed and disbursed up to March 18, 2011.
The Fund has now been fully committed, with over $311 million provided for emergency, housing, financial, physical, bereavement and psychological support gifts and programs for individuals and families and over $81 million provided for community strengthening initiatives in bushfire affected towns and communities. Support gifts and programs and community initiatives will continue to roll out over the medium to long term. A recent interest payment of about $2.52 million is currently being committed.
