Population
- The 2004 total population of East Gippsland Local Government
Area (LGA) was 40,826.
- The Department of Sustainability and Environment projects the
2020 population of East Gippsland LGA will reach 44,811.

Gippsland's total population. This compares with 11.3% for Victoria
as a whole.
