Victorian Health Information Reporting Architecture

The Victorian Health Information Reporting Architecture defines strategic development of the Victorian Health Information Reporting System (VHIRS).

VHIRS is the authoritative source of health information for the state of Victoria. VHIRS includes the department’s primary health data collection, the Victorian Admitted Episodes Dataset (VAED). Other major collections are the Victorian Emergency Minimum Dataset (VEMD), the Elective Surgery Information System (ESIS), and the Mental Health data collections (VHIRS-M). Smaller collections include TAC, DVA, Common Chart of Accounts, and Primary & Community Health data.

Reporting Architecture Development is responsible for the strategic development of VHIRS, including the maintenance of existing data collections, as well as the addition of data collections.
