The Major Projects unit has been established to undertake priority metropolitan health capital projects where the scale ($100m+) or complexity dictates that the project is taken 'offline' with specialist executive level input. The group is currently responsible for the delivery of the new $1.0 billion Royal Children's Hospital Project, having previously completed the new Royal Women’s Hospital Project (opened June 2008) and Casey Hospital (opened September 2004).
