Health Data Development UnitManager : Andrew BrownGeneral Enquiries: (03) 9096 8141 Role & Function The Health Data Development unit has responsibility for data reform, standards and data collection development of the acute health data collections required for performance reporting, accountability, research and service planning of acute health programs. The unit is currently working on data redevelopment projects in partnership with relevant program and project areas of the Department:
The unit is also responsible for the operation (including specification, development, validation, quality assurance, annual review and infrastructure maintenance) of several data collections, mostly in the non-admitted and finance domains of acute health: The Victorian Integrated Non Admitted Health (VINAH) Minimum Data Set, which collects data about:
