Role & Function

The Accounting and Financial Policy Unit:

• Maintain and review the hospital’s Common Chart of Accounts
• Reports on hospital financial performance
• Review and update monthly and annual reporting formats
• Provides a range of financial advice and services for hospitals
• Monitors hospital compliance with DHS financial policy and guidelines
• Negotiates and manages the contractual relationships for compensable clients treated in Victorian public hospitals, including VWA, DVA and TAC.
• Negotiates and monitors agreements for the treatment of cross border patient flows.
