The Finance Branch is responsible for the development & monitoring of Statewide hospital budgets and the development and implementation of policy on all aspects of the funding formulae for Victorian public hospitals.

Accounting & Financial Policy Unit
Manager: Peter Lewis

Develops and implements strategies to improve the financial viability of public hospitals and monitors and reports on their overall financial performance.

Budget Operations Unit
Manager: Phil Willmer

The Budget Operations Unit is responsible for management of Victorian Public Hospital casemix budgets and payments to Public Hospitals for Metropolitan Health & Aged Care Services Division funded programs.

Business Services Unit
Manager: Dana Zirojevic

The Business Services Unit is responsible for providing a wide range of business support services to all MH&ACS Units.

Principal areas of activity include support and advice relating to Divisional Budgets, Human Resources, Finance and Administration, Contract Management, Accommodation and Building Services and Occupational Health and Safety.

Electronic Service Delivery & I.T Support
A/Manager: John Olah

The ESD & IT Support Unit is responsible for the development, maintenance and management of Intranet and Internet Web communication services for the Metropolitan Health & Aged Care Services Division of the Department of Human Services.

The Unit also provides IT support to over 570 EFT staff in the Division, including PC and IT hardware and software supply and maintenance, IT help desk support, establishment and maintenance of user access accounts and network support.
