Role & Function

The Statewide Emergency Program aims to improve the capacity of the Victorian public health sector to respond to, and actively manage increasing demand for emergency services across the Victorian public health sector. Key areas include policy and program responsibility for emergency hospital access and care within the emergency department of public hospitals, the Victorian Trauma Service and critical care services including neonatal intensive care services.
