3.7 Specified Grants
Because the above refinements compensate for many of the severity anomalies for which specified grants were provided in 1996-97, these grants will not automatically be continued in 1997-98.
Modelled budgets include some changes to specified grants made during 1996-97. In a number of cases the justification for these grants may have been subsumed by changes to cost weights and/or various elements of the throughput formula. Further review will be conducted during 1997-98.
