OUTER EAST METROPOLITAN HEALTH SERVICES REVIEWThe Victorian Government has commissioned a comprehensive review of the health service requirements for Melbourne's outer east to ensure residents have access to high quality health services. The focus of the review is on:
A consultant team, MA International, has been engaged to undertake the review. The review team is working under the guidance of a Steering Committee, comprising representatives from outer eastern hospitals, Eastern Health, community health, local government and the Department of Human Services. The Steering Committee is now finalising its report to the Minister for Health. As part of the review, the consultant team have completed an extensive consultation phase which included:
Based on the results of the consultation phase, the consultant team is currently preparing a draft Strategic Services Plan for health services in the Outer East.
