Welcome to the Metropolitan Health & Aged
Care Services Division

The Department of Human Services has three divisions which are responsible for health and aged care services within the state of Victoria:
Metropolitan Health and Aged Care Services Division is responsible for the full range of health and aged care services in metropolitan Melbourne. Rural and Regional Health and Aged Care Services Division is responsible for the full range of health and aged care services in rural and regional Victoria. Program branches within Metropolitan Health and Aged Care Services provide operational support for both the Metropolitan and Rural & Regional Divisions in meeting each Division's geographical responsibilities. Metropolitan Health and Aged Care Services has state-wide policy and program direction responsibility for specific program areas:

The Mental Health and Drugs Division is comprised of the Mental Health and Drugs Policy Branches. Its functions encompass public sector policy, program, and service and workforce development in relation to mental health and drug matters. |
