Short film about SHERP

This short film is introduced by Victoria's Chief Commissioner for Police, Simon Overland. It provides an overview of SHERP, its connection to the emergency management arrangements and the key principles of the plan.

It can be used alone as an overview for agencies that do not require detailed knowledge of SHERP, or along with the other resources included in the training kit for more in-depth learning.

The film is also available on the VicGovHealth YouTube channel.

Training Resources

These training resources are designed to assist agencies and individuals understand SHERP and the whole of health functional response to emergencies in Victoria, particularly:

  • Ambulance paramedics
  • Emergency control agencies
  • Emergency support agencies
  • Field emergency medical staff 
  • First aid agencies
  • Hospitals and health services.

It may also be of interest to other agencies or individuals who would like to understand the functional health response to emergencies in Victoria.
