Housing in Gippsland Region

The Office of Housing in Gippsland provides accommodation and other housing support services to over 10,000 people in the Gippsland region through over 4000 public and community housing properties. Office of Housing staff are currently located in three offices: Morwell, Sale and Bairnsdale. The Office of Housing provides a comprehensive range of assistance for people who are in public housing or who need support in a situation of homelessness. These services include emergency and transitional accommodation, long term social housing, private rental assistance and home ownership assistance for low-income families.

The Community Housing program and the Supported Accommodation Assistance program deliver an integrated service through experienced Community Service organisations who provide accommodation and support services to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, or have specific needs.
