Industry, Workforce and Strategy Division

The Industry, Workforce and Strategy Division works to develop a stronger industry and workforce to support service delivery and to best meet current and future challenges.

The division promotes integrated planning, strategy development and governance across DHS and improves policy development and its integration into service delivery, and leads departmental efforts to improve Aboriginal outcomes.

This division also has responsibility for the Office for Disability, Office for Women and Office for Youth.

  • Aboriginal Affairs in Department of Human Services

    Information on the roles of Nallei Jerring Executive Subcommittee and Department of Human Services (DHS) in managing Aboriginal Affairs, which includes the funciton of the Aboriginal Outcomes Branch and its action plans.

  • Office for Disability

    The Office for Disability (the Office) was established in 2006 with a mandate to put disability on the agenda across the Victorian Government. The Office is the first of its kind for Victoria.

  • Office of Women's Policy

    The Office of Women’s Policy (OWP) leads whole-of-government policy, engages with women from diverse backgrounds and delivers initiatives to support women’s full economic and social participation.

  • Office for Youth

    The Office for Youth is the key agency driving a whole-of-government agenda in relation to Victorians aged 12 to 25. It is responsible for policy advice, research and strategic planning relating to government policies, programs and service delivery for young Victorians. It is also responsible for providing opportunities and channels for young people’s opinions to be considered by government.
