Whilst two thirds of our workforce is engaged in direct care work, the Department of Human Services also offers many career opportunities in the corporate and business support areas.
Job Description
There are many opportunities available for rewarding careers in professional areas such as:
Policy development - opportunities available for professionals to develop policies and work in partnership to achieve key results.
Project managers - with skills in designing, planning and implementing projects, who build relationships and monitor and evaluate contracts.
IT professionals - help desk services, web content specialists, application administration specialists, systems development.
Business support professionals - these cover areas such as Budget Officers, Accountants, Business and Financial Analysts, Taxation Consultants, Service Regulators, Lawyers, Solicitors, Human Resources and Industrial Relations Consultants, Learning and Development Consultants, Systems/Payroll Consultants (SAP), Occupational Health and Safety Consultants and more!
Support staff - Executive and Personal Assistants, Receptionists and Customer Support roles.

General Victorian Public Service pay rates start at $37,206 (VPS1) and reach $125,444 (VPS6).
