The department is committed to recruiting well. Our recruitment process requires safety screening checks to ensure the right people are selected. That is, people who can provide quality services, a safe environment to our vulnerable clients and who can uphold the department's organisational values.
The selection process may take approximately six weeks after applications close. You will receive written acknowledgement of receipt of your application within one week of the closing date. If you apply online you will receive the acknowledgement as an automated response where an email contact has been provided.
The Victorian government has introduced the compulsory Working with Children Check (WWCC) for all adults who work or volunteer in child related industries. For more information about this mandatory check please visit the Department of Justice. The job description will state whether the role requires a WWCC.
