Aboriginal Employment Programs
The Department of Human Services and the Department of Health are committed to recruiting a diverse workforce that reflects our community. The department administers a number of programs that create pathways from education to recruitment which are open to a range of individuals such as university graduates, tertiary students and school leavers interested in entry level programs or scholarships.
- Aboriginal Study to Work Program
This program is to offer Aboriginal people a pathway to employment via entry level positions with the minimum desired or mandatory qualification, anyone from school leavers (must be 18+ years of age when commencing employment) to the mature aged are encouraged to apply.
- Aboriginal Graduate Recruitment Program
Call for Aboriginal applicants for Department of Human Services & Department of Health Aboriginal Graudate Recruitment Program.
- Aboriginal scholarships
Scholarships awarded to Aboriginal students to complete studies that are relevant to either a career in the department or in the funded health or community services sector.
