HSHPIC Ministerial Partnership Forum

More than 150 health, human services and sport and recreation stakeholders recently attended a forum to hear directly from Ministers about their joint vision for a future health and human services system.

On Friday 11 March, the four Ministers, the Hon Jill Hennessy MP, the Hon Jenny Mikakos MP, the Hon Martin Foley MP and the Hon John Eren MP spoke at the HSHPIC Ministerial Partnership Forum: Future Health and Human Services System.

Ministers reflected on their achievements to date as well as sharing their priorities for the coming years.  They committed to work across the breadth of health, human services and sport and recreation to ensure that all Victorians are healthy, able to participate in their communities and enjoy wellbeing.

All Ministers reiterated their commitment to partnership with our community sector service providers and the people who use our systems to ensure that we deliver Victorians the right care and support, in the right places, at the right time.

The Ministerial panel was followed by a further discussion with Terry Symonds, Deputy Secretary, Portfolio Strategy and Reform who spoke about the core pillars the department will pursue to deliver the government's vision. This includes a strong focus on person-centred services; local solutions; earlier and more connected support for people; and advancing quality, safety and innovation.

The next HSHPIC Partnership Forum will be held in July.
