Report it Right
Congratulations to the winners of the 2014 Report it Right and WIN! competition
The Report it Right and WIN! competition challenges media, journalism and communications students at Victorian tertiary institutions to refer to the Reporting it Right guidelines for portraying people with a disability and write a news story or feature article about a current news issue relating to disability.
We received a great response to this year's competition and were impressed with the calibre of entries.
We are pleased to announce that the winner of the second Report it Right and WIN! competition is Isobelle Waller from RMIT University.
This year's runners-up are:
- Simone McInnes from La Trobe University
- Rochelle Brown from RMIT University
- Alana Mitchelson from Monash University.
This year's winners will share in $5,000 worth of prizes, including a MacBook Air and $1,000 in cash for the overall winner. The three runners-up will each receive an iPad and $500 in cash.
You can still learn about portraying people with disability in the media by taking a look at the Reporting it Right: guidelines on this site.
