Prahran estate renewal - help shape the future of Prahran's housing estates.
Minister for Housing, Disability and Ageing, Martin Foley has announced the third phase of community consultation on the Prahran renewal plan. The Prahran renewal plan is a masterplan to guide future improvements and growth of Prahran’s public housing estates, including the Horace Petty estate and sites at Bangs, King and Essex Streets, Prahran.

The Prahran community are invited to have their say on the masterplan during a four-week consultation from 22 August to 18 September 2015.

A series of drop-in display sessions and facilitated forums offer multiple opportunities for community members to learn about the plan and provide feedback.

The community’s feedback will be collected by independent community engagement specialists Red Road Consulting who will report the findings to the department. The independent report will then be submitted to the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning alongside the masterplan.

Since 2011, the department has worked with a team of architects, town planners and other professionals to develop the plan in consultation with the community. The goal of the renewal plan is to create a liveable, sustainable and well-integrated neighbourhood where residents can thrive.
