Our Children Our Future is an exhibition of art work collated from a course of cultural workshops held by the Victorian Aboriginal Childcare Agency for children from the northern and western suburbs of Melbourne.

The multimedia exhibition includes paintings, installations, photographs and film and celebrates the strength, diversity and vibrancy of Victorian Aboriginal culture.

Minister Wooldridge said that the exhibition is an ‘amazing insight into what it means to be an Aboriginal child or young person today’.

She went on to say that, ‘the images and pictures show us that there are many interpretations and ways to express identity and culture’.

The exhibition is on display daily 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Melbourne Museum until 5 February 2012.
