National Youth Week 2012 grants open
National Youth Week (NYW) is an annual, week-long celebration of young people (aged 12–25) throughout Australia. It is a joint initiative of the Australian, State, Territory and Local Governments. NYW 2012 – Imagine. Create. Inspire. will be held from 13 April to 22 April 2012.
In partnership with the Australian Government and beyondblue, through Youthbeyondblue, the Victorian Government is providing NYW grants of up to $2,000 to fund events that celebrate and recognise the contribution of young Victorians to their community.
Applying for funding
NYW 2012 grants are available to assist groups of young people to organise events for other young people. To be eligible, young people must be working in partnership with a local council, community organisation or school.
Applicants can apply for one of two types of grants:
- $2000 for young people working with an organisation to deliver a local community-based event, or
- $2000 for young people working with an organisation to deliver an event that raises awareness of depression and anxiety (supported by Youthbeyondblue).
