Two graduates of the Victorian Government’s LEAD Barwon project have been admitted into the Committee for Geelong’s prestigious Leaders for Geelong program, in recognition of the skills and expertise they gained through the LEAD initiative.

Jacqui Suares and Jacqui McKim will now go on to further develop their leadership skills over the two-year program, which will also see them connected into important networks in the Geelong region.

As two of the inaugural members of the LEAD Barwon project, Ms Suares and Ms McKim received training and support to share their experiences of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) with other people with a disability and the community.

While the inaugural LEAD project has been finalised, it is fantastic to see Ms Suares and Ms McKim taking their next step with the Leaders for Geelong program.
