Collingwood estate residents work together to prevent family violence

Residents at Collingwood housing estate recently gathered together to take part in ‘a week without violence’, a global event which encourages communities to imagine a week without violence.

Events held at the estate focused on preventing domestic violence. Residents took part in activities at four events during the week and were given resources and information about safety.

Residents from the Collingwood Living in Harmony project attended in partnership with Victoria Police, Neighbourhood Justice Centre, Wilson Security, CoHealth and staff from the Collingwood housing office.

Collingwood Living in Harmony is a project aimed at preventing family violence at the estate.
