Disability services access policy

The Disability services access policy provides information for people who have a disability as defined by the Disability Act 2006, and who make a request for access to disability services.

The policy applies to all disability service providers with regard to how they make decisions regarding access to disability services.

Please note that the document makes reference to the 'Disability services access policy: an implementation guide'. The implementation guide provides a foundation for shared practice amongst departmental staff and community service organisations. It is currently not on the department's website. To request a copy, phone State Wide Disability Information and Support on 1800 783 783, using the National Relay Service 13 36 77 if required, or email disability services <disability.services@dhhs.vic.gov.au>.
