Transition support for young people with a disability leaving school (incorporating Futures for Young Adults and Transition to Employment): handbook

Futures for Young Adults (FFYA) funding can be used to purchase supports to develop school leaver’s independence, support to learn to budget, or to work successfully as a member of a team. Funding can also be used to help young people achieve their community and economic participation goals, including engaging in everyday activities with increasing independence, such as banking, catching public transport and shopping.

Transition to Employment (TTE) funding can be used to support participants to identify their employment goals and work preferences. It can also be used to help them develop the skills they might need to achieve their goals, to participate in work experience, and in any on-the-job workplace training that would help towards an employment outcome.
