Chapter 2 Rental rebates September 2013 - Assessable income

The Department defines whether income received by tenants and residents are included when calculating a household's rental rebate.

Assessable incomes are incomes received by individuals for general income support, and are included in the rental assessment. Non-assessable incomes are payments provided for a specific purpose, such as pharmaceutical allowance. These are not included in the rental assessment.
