Our Regions
During 2008'09 delivery of our services was coordinated through eight regions, where 77 per cent of our departmental staff are located. Regions are responsible for:
- managing the range of human services provided in their region, including directly delivered services such as child protection, youth justice, disability, and public housing accommodation and support
- developing and maintaining effective partnerships with local government, non-government organisations and the community
- providing a range of emergency management activities, including overall recovery coordination, and specific response and recovery services to local communities.
