Survivors of child abuse
Child abuse is a serious social problem. Professionals who work with children and families have a duty of care to respond to concerns of child abuse when it arises. Resources assist professionals in understanding their legal and ethical responsibilities. In addition, information and support is available for those personally affected by child sexual abuse, or for parents of a child who has been abused.

Parentline is a statewide service that provides parents with counselling, information and contact details for community services in Victoria

Intercountry Adoption
The Intercountry Adoption Service (ICAS) is responsible for finding Victorian families for children from overseas who cannot be placed with a family in their country of origin.

Adoption
Information about adoption services, which provide counselling and advice for birth parents, assess prospective adoptive parents and arrange the adoption of infants and children who cannot live at home

Family Violence
Is someone you know being abused in a relationship? Is there violence in your home? Free community counselling and support services are available.

Foster Care
Foster care is a home-based service provided to children and young people up to 18 years of age who are temporarily or permanently unable to live with their families of origin. Volunteer caregivers look after children and young people in their own home. Foster Care Community Service Organisations are responsible for recruiting, training and supporting caregivers. Caregiver payments are provided to meet the everyday costs of caring.
